provenance (prav’e
nens) n. origins, derivation, source.
Anyone with a passion for historical artifacts knows that the
provenance of a particular piece is, in a manner of speaking,
its heritage.
Now the term has taken on new (or should we say old?) meaning
for a quaint village that sits in the lengthening shadows of
western Twin Cities suburbia.
The Provenance, an exciting new gallery featuring European antique
furniture, one-of-a-kind Adirondack rustic furniture, art glass
and pottery., museum-quality stained glass, Native American artifacts
and hand-made quilts. Now open for business on Hamel’s
main street, The Provenance was designed, inside and out, with
an architectural nod to the past. It comes from long-time real
estate developer Darrel Farr who shares with Hamel residents
and other local business owners the belief that there is a place
for 19th century ambience in a 21st century world.
We invited you to relive a bit of yesteryear at the Provenance
and the rest of uptown Hamel. Hamel is conveniently located just
four miles west of I-494 on Highway 55. The Provenance store
hours are Monday – Friday 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.,
Saturday 10:00 – 5:00 p.m., Sunday closed, 763.478.9064.
The Provenance has a website. You can visit them at: www.provenancegallery.com
